Mariah's Esme
This little girl is out of the Clydesdale mare, Ebony Dillon Debutante and by our very own DF Chalk Talk. We are extremely pleased with this filly, one of Chalk's last three foals before he was gelded. She's sure to make her sire proud! Esme should mature around 16.2hds. She's a black and white extreme sabino/tobiano with a lovely blue eye and lots of feather just like her sire. A laid back and sweeter filly you couldn't ask for. She could be the fanciest driving horse around or make a lovely lower level dressage mount. Her fantastic temperament is suited to a wonderful companion as well.
We are really undecided as to whether we want to sell this filly. Actually we are torn about both yearlings we have for sale. But we simply must downsize so both are listed at the moment. We are asking $6500 for Esme. She is eligible to be registered with both ADHA and GCDHA as a Drum Horse.
Esme is up to date on the age appropriate training. As soon as her half brother Cian returns from our trainer friend, she will be going for a "refresher" just to make sure she's ready for her new owners to continue with.

Mariah's Cian
Cian (Kee-an) is a 2009 3/4 Drum Horse colt. He's by Chalk and out of our half Drum half Saddlebred, Georgian Grande mare Maxine (pictures on our Mares page). He's a black and white tobiano with blue eyes. Cian is the second foal from this same cross and we were thrilled to put it mildly! He's exactly what we were breeding for when we bred a sporthorse type mare to Chalk. He is also Chalk's last colt before he was gelded. We strongly suspect this colt is homozygous - testing should confirm - so we aren't gelding him just yet. Cian should mature around 16.2hds.
Cian will make someone a very exciting dressage prospect! He is priced at $3800 firm.
UPDATE 7-29-10! Cian has spent the last two weeks with a trainer friend of ours having a refresher course on all the things he should know. I visited him today and was soooo impressed with what I saw. So impressed in fact that I am now very torn about selling him at all. He lunged like a champ, was as calm as a much older horse over a tarp and with a plastic bag whipped about his head, loaded on the trailer on his own and allowed all four feet to be lifted and held without anyone even holding his lead. My trainer friend keeps telling me I will regret selling this colt! But, we absolutely have to downsize. We have three foals, one already sold and if the other filly sells before Cian, he will stay. Therefore his price is firm. Should we get word (any day now) that he is homozygous, the price will increase.

Mariah's Imbri
Imbri has been SOLD. Congratulations Sheila!
This little girl is out of our mare Big Sky Snow (deceased) and the magnificent Shire stallion, Dapplewoods Paladin. Photos of her sire and dam can be found on our mares page. We are very pleased with this filly. She just gets prettier every day and is quite large! She should mature around 17hds. Imbri is for sale to a very special home. We haven't set a price yet as it strongly depends on where she goes.
Imbri will not be a regular registry Drum. She will be registered as a part-bred. She is all Draft but doesn't have the required percentage of Gypsy blood to qualify for regular registry. Any foals from her resulting from breeding her to a Gypsy or Drum, WILL be eligible for regular status.
