Athena
Athena is a coming 4 year old Drum Horse filly. Her sire is the 15.1hd Gypsy Stallion Clononeen Shamrock and her dam is the 17.1hd Clydesdale mare, Ebony Twas Destiny that we used to own. We sold Athena when she was a yearling, but unfortunately her owner has decided she needs to part with her, so we agreed to help. Here is what her owner has to say about her...
Athena has grown in this last year and we believe she is at least 16 hands - the vet will soon be measuring her to verify. She's also muscled up with her being ridden on a regular basis.
Her walk, trot and canter under saddle are coming along nicely. Everyone who rides her comments on what a powerhouse her front end is! Athena is a fast learner and has quickly caught on to leg aids. Her nature is to keep trying until she gets it right.
Temperament wise she's a good girl, loves attention and is usually the horse everyone comments on when they visit the barn. I think she would definitely capture the judges attention at shows.
Her health is terrific. I have her hoofs trimmed every 4 weeks - no need for shoes. The vet checks her teeth twice a year and floats them as needed. U/T/D on all shots and worming.
