Mariah's Cian
Cian is a 2009 3/4 Drum Horse colt. He's by Chalk and out of our half Drum half Saddlebred, Georgian Grande mare Maxine. He's a black and white tobiano with blue eyes. Cian is the second foal from this same cross and we were thrilled to put it mildly! He's exactly what we were breeding for when we bred a sporthorse type mare to Chalk. Cian is also Chalk's last colt before he was gelded. So for both those reasons he will remain here. This one is going to be something to watch for!

Magnolia's Monticello
2005 GCDHA Drum Horse Gelding This young man is Monty, half brother to our own Chalk. They share the same sire.
Originally we listed him on our Sales page for his owner/breeder Laurel, of Avalon Shires...but we love our Chalk so much, we decided little brother needed to come live with us as well!
Monty is a 2005 gelding sired by the Gypsy stallion Clononeen Guiness. His dam is the black & white Clydesdale mare, Fashion Laddie's Cindy who was trained to second level in Dressage. Monty is already showing promise of following in her footsteps. Both Guiness and Cindy belong to Magnolia Draft Horse Ranch of Texas.
Monty joined us in Jan '06. He is being ridden by Jordan, our 15 year old daughter. Jordan and Monty are turning into quite a team and just attended their first local show where they did VERY well! We also have special plans for Monty and for his "twin", our Drum mare, Snow.

Wauk Away Brave Bear
2001 ASPC Shetland Pony Gelding
We had our other pony Bear first, but wanted a team mate so we'd have a pair. However, its pretty difficult to find a match for a mostly white pony! So we bought his Dad. Wauk Away Brave Bear is sire to Platte's Nearly Bear Naked. Now that he is gelded we will be starting him in harness so he can work with his son! The "Bear's" will be the "Littlest Drums" in our parade entry. Don't tell them! They think they are big as the Drafts!

Platte's Nearly Bear Naked
2005 ASPC Shetland Pony Gelding
I was browsing one day and I ran across an ad for a black and white Shetland pony foal who looked like our Drums in miniature! I fell in love with the little blue eyes and decided we needed our own pony!
So in March of 2006, Bear made his trip to the South from Minnesota where he was born when I went to Wisconsin to visit my friend Michelle on her new farm and deliver her donkey baby, Donkey.
Bear now lives with our partners at Son Rise Farm We "loaned" him and they fell in love! He has been started in harness and he, along with his sire Brave Bear will become our pony team. He's already a star, participating in children's parties and he's even been invited to be in a church Christmas play!
